VETERANS FIELD OF HONOR
Event Information
Honoring our Past, Present and Future Veterans
November 7 - 11, 2009
Who does my Flag Sponsorship benefit?
The fundraising from Veterans Field of Honor at Seneca Lake State Park, Geneva, New York, will be directed to the following area:
Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery
The cemetery, on the eastern side of Seneca Lake, is on the site of theWorldWar II era Sampson Naval Training Station and the 1950s Sampson Air Force Base. The idea of the cemetery came from Navy and Air Force veterans who were stationed at Sampson and later established a museum there. Planning for the cemetery began in 2002 and broke ground a year ago. The first veteran is expected to be buried there in the fall of 2010.
This year we have an assortment of flags to choose from. Enter in the box on the Flag order form the type of flag you’d like to order.
